To be alive is a gift
of enjoying the pleasures of life
Without life there is no pleasure
for man on earth
For that I have learned to be thankful

To have family even when we do not get alone
Is far better than being alone
And for that I have learned to be thankful

To be able to function even if I have some form of pain
Is far better than no pain without being able to function
And for that I have learned to be thankful

To have to work to make ends meet
Is far better than living on the street
And for that I have learned to be thankful

To have transportation that might not be my dream car
Is far better than having to walk very far
And for that I have learned to be thankful

To have to walk where I might need to go
Is far better than not being able to go
And for that I have learned to be thankful

I have learned to be thankful that I am alive
No matter how good or bad the times might seem
I have learn to be thankful that I am a living being

I have learn to be thankful for the struggles of life
For it means I am still experiencing life
And for that I have learned to be thankful

Thankful that wisdom has explained to me
That every day that I am living
I have the victory
