By Wisdom and Understanding, You will Obtain Success

Psalm 136:5  (Amplified Bible)
To Him Who by wisdom and
understanding made
The heavens, for His mercy
and loving-kindness
Endure forever;

Reading this Scripture, we learn the way God does things, which is with wisdom and understanding.  We must too learn to do things according to Godly wisdom and understanding, if we desire to have that everlasting success.  We gain wisdom and understanding by getting into His word. We gain wisdom and understanding by studying the formulas from reading God’s words about how to do things.  Then, when we implement those formulas / ways of being into our lives, we are doing things in accordance with Godly wisdom and understanding.  The word of God lets us know that

Romans 15:4 (Amplified Bible)
Whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that by [our steadfast and patient] endurance and the encouragement [drawn] from the Scriptures, we might hold fast to and cherish hope.

Here, hope is an expected end or result.  The word of God is our instructions.  If we become steadfast and stick to doing things according to the word, if we are patient enough to give it a chance to work, then we will see that the result of following the way of God will produce success.  But, we must understand that we must work the formula (the Godly wisdom and understanding) and then be patient enough to give it a chance to bring forth the hope (the result we desire). 

Therefore, let us let God be God in our lives. We invite Him in when we allow His wisdom and understanding to flow through us.  God does not just make things happen.  He teaches us how to make them happen.  Unless we want to be people who spend our lives waiting for something to happen and then wonder why God has not moved on our behalf, we must realize that we are supposed to do the word of God.  We are to put the word of God into action.  It is more than just praying, “God help me” and sitting and waiting for something to happen.  We must put to work the wisdom of God and the understanding of God in our lives.  By doing so, we will see Godly success.

 If we learn from this Scripture, that God uses wisdom and understanding to make our situation work for us, we will gain the knowledge that if we allow Godly wisdom to guides us we will have success. Often times we are where we are and in what we are in because we have not followed the wisdom and understanding of God’s instructions.  But if we would slide into following the instructions of God, those words, those instructions, will see us out of our mess and produce success for us.

God has compassion for us and He understands how hard things can get for us.  But we must trust Him, trust His formulas for success and know that He has our best interests in mind.  He cannot just change things to appeal to our emotional state because that will only be in violation of the laws of the universe. God set the laws when He created the world and we must understand that for every action, there is a reaction.  We must take on a course that will cause us to have a Godly successful fix to our situations or problems.    We must use Godly wisdom and understanding to have success in this world.  Whatever we do, we must trust God that He knows what is best for us.  There are no magic wands. We cannot pray, Lord fix it for me…and then God will wave his magic wand and, presto! It is fixed!   Life does not work that way. We must work on putting the wisdom and understanding of God into practice in our lives if we desire to have Godly success.
