 Together We

In 1963 Martin Luther King Jr.
Speaking at the Lincoln Memorial, in Washington D.C.
Said

“With this faith,
We will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope.

With this faith,
We will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood.

With this faith,
We will be able to work together, to pray together, (and) to struggle together”

These were Rev. Kings’ words to our nation from his I Have a Dream Speech

It is now 2008,
And we must choose to participate in this overdue mandate

No matter what our political views may be.
We must work in a united way
That we continue to make our country great
We must choose to put aside those divisive ways that divide us as a nation
And choose to come together and work together
That we unit us

We, each and every one of us, must understand that it is us that have the power to continue making our country great.

And it is up to us, to up hold this faith, these ideas, and the hope,
That we can work together, pray together, struggle together
To bring about the change that will make our country whole again.

And this change starts first from within
From within each and every one of us
If only we would change to be people of unity and peace
What a country the USA would be

Faith is the substance of things hoped for
The evidence of things not seen
Let the words of Martin Luther King
Become our reality.

Let our morality, line up with the word of God
That we are peace makers and not distracters of peace

Choose to be a blessing to our country
Being countrymen that are loving to our fellow countrymen

Dare to hope for peace, prosperity, and love throughout the USA

And act in a way that would cause that to be our reality.

Hope for a better America
Act in a way that helps create a better America
Let our actions be a legacy for our children
A legacy that continues to create

A great America

II Corinthians 5:20
So we are Christ's ambassadors, God making His appeal as it were through us. We [as Christ's personal representatives] beg you for His sake to lay hold of the divine favor [now offered you] and be reconciled to God.

Amplified Bible

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
